How do I change my username or display name?

Pick a new handle — and what stays linked to your old one.

The two are different. Your username appears in your profile URL and in games. Your display name is the friendlier name shown on your profile page and in chat.

1. Open Settings. 2. Stay on the Profile tab. 3. Edit the Username or Display name field. 4. Save.

The change is live immediately across the platform.

Field Limit Allowed --- --- --- Username 3–24 characters Letters, numbers, underscores. Must be unique. Display name Up to 50 characters Letters, numbers, spaces, common punctuation. Doesn't need to be unique.

A short list of words is reserved ( admin , support , endgame , etc.) and can't be used as usernames.

When you change your username, your profile moves to the new URL right away. Old links stop working immediately — there's no automatic redirect, so update any links you've shared on social media or with friends.

Nothing — your games stay attached to your account. Past games will display your new username going forward.
