How do I export my games as PGN?
Download a single game or your whole history in standard PGN format.
PGN (Portable Game Notation) is the universal chess file format. You can export any of your games and open them in any chess tool.
1. Open Game History. 2. Tap the game you want. 3. On the replay page, you'll see two buttons: - Copy PGN — copies the PGN text to your clipboard. - Download — saves a .pgn file to your device.
That's it — the file works in Chess.com analysis, Lichess, ChessBase, SCID, and every other PGN-aware tool.
- The seven required tag headers (Event, Site, Date, Round, White, Black, Result) - Your username and rating for the game - Time control - Every move in standard algebraic notation - Result (1-0, 0-1, ½-½)
Tool How to import --- --- Lichess Analysis → Paste PGN Chess.com Tools → Analysis → Import PGN ChessBase File → Open → choose the .pgn file SCID / Stockfish CLI Open the file directly
A self-serve "download all games" button isn't part of Settings yet. If you'd like a full archive of every game you've played, contact support with the subject "PGN archive" and we'll generate one for you.
